This paper presents a new design of a dual-beam Leaky-Wave Antenna (LWA) with a wide range of beam scanning capability in backward and forward regions. The dual-beam radiation with frequency scanning is achieved by exciting simultaneously two radiating modes, which are related to the space harmonics <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\beta_{0}$</tex> and <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\beta_{-1}$</tex>. The beams scanning range for the fundamental-beam is from <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$-22^{\circ}$</tex> to <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$64^{\circ}$</tex>, while for the harmonic-beam, it starts from <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$-75^{\circ}$</tex> to <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$-31^{\circ}$</tex> in the backward region and from <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$23^{\circ}$</tex> to <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$67^{\circ}$</tex> in the forward region. The designed LWA shows a peak gain of 12.9 dBi for the fundamental-beam and 14.2 dBi for the harmonic-beam. Additionally, the harmonic-beam radiation is circularly polarized in the frequency band (11 GHz-14.5 GHz). With all its radiation characteristics, this antenna is potentially suitable for wirelessly powering multiple devices in a distributed Wireless Power Transfer context.
