Digital transformation (DT) in Moroccan Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) is critical for enhancing sustainability, customer experience, data analytics, and innovation. SMEs form a significant part of Morocco's economy, representing 93% of all companies and contributing substantially to production and employment. However, their economic value and export contributions remain limited. This study investigates the impact of DT on the growth and competitiveness of SMEs in the Casablanca-Settat region, employing a quantitative methodology. Data from 152 SMEs reveal that effective digital strategies, investment in digital skills, adoption of cloud-based solutions, and utilization of digital marketing significantly improve growth rates, operational efficiency, customer engagement, and market reach. Despite positive outcomes, barriers such as a lack of digital skills, financial constraints, and inadequate IT infrastructure persist. Future research should expand geographically, incorporate longitudinal data, and explore effective digital skills training programs. Addressing these perspectives will provide a comprehensive understanding of DT's role in enhancing SME growth and competitiveness in Morocco.
