The escalating threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has prompted a multifaceted approach in both therapeutic and policy domains. Current therapeutic responses emphasize the development of novel antibiotics, alternative therapies that enhance existing drug efficacy while mitigating resistance. In parallel, global health policies are increasingly focused on implementing robust antimicrobial stewardship programs, promoting responsible use of antibiotics in both human health and agriculture, and fostering international collaboration to monitor and combat the spread of resistant pathogens Collectively, these strategies reflect a comprehensive response to AMR, underscoring the need for innovative solutions and coordinated action across various sectors to safeguard public health effectively. This chapter elucidates on the current therapeutic responses to AMR. This chapter explores the current global advancements in mitigating the crisis of AMR and the impact of policy responses to AMR.
