Abstract

This study aims to compare two main schools of thought: the Islamic school of critical thought which is based on the philosophical teachings of the significant medieval Muslim philosopher Al-Ghazali and the contemporary critical school of thought, which is based on the work of the Brazilian educationist Paulo Freire.
