Covalent functionalization of MoSe 2 nanosheets with hydrogen bond-donating functionalities for the sensing of nitroaromatics

Abstract

Chemically functionalized MoSe 2 with HB-donating groups (–CONH 2 , –CO 2 H, and –SO 3 H) shows stronger adsorption, bandgap tuning, and dual optical–electrical sensitivity to nitroaromatic pollutants, highlighting its strong potential as a sensing platform.
