This paper describes the percentages and the distribution of fatty acids in different organs (adductor muscle, gill, mantle, digestive gland and gonad) of Flexopecten glaber collected from the Bizerte lagoon during May 2007. High levels of C20:5n-3 and C14:0 in addition with the DHA/EPA ratio (<1) recorded in the digestive gland suggesting a diet mainly based on diatoms. The highest levels of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (mainly EPA and DHA) were recorded in the gonad and digestive gland. Those results will be in relation with gonad maturation and good nutritional conditions.
