Characteristics of Resonant WPT Systems for Wireless Electric Vehicle Charging

Abstract

The wireless technology for EV charging is a promising technology that offers greater convenience and flexibility compared to traditional plug-in charging systems. This paper conducts a circuit analysis for both resonant and inductive WPT systems, compares their efficiency, outlines the specific characteristics of the resonant WPT system, notably investigating the impact of coupling and quality factor, and bifurcation phenomenon on the system, and finally concludes with a conclusion.
