Blockchain Enabled Interference Management for UAV Borne RIS Aided HetNets

Abstract

This paper proposes an innovative transmission framework where multiple Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) serve as base stations using Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA). A central UAV, equipped with a Reflective Intelligent Surface (RIS), enhances coverage for ground users while integrating Blockchain technology to streamline information exchange. The framework jointly optimizes the UAV-RIS 3D positioning, reflection coefficients, and phase shifts to maximize data transmission rates. The resulting mixed-integer non-convex problem is addressed using the Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm. Furthermore, Blockchain is incorporated into the proposed system model to reduce the overhead of exchanging information among UAVs. Simulation results validate the approach, showcasing notable enhancements in sum rate and resource efficiency over conventional methods.
