Application of Paired Samples t-Test in Engineering Service-Learning Project

Abstract

This paper presents the application in engineering education of Paired Samples t-Test statistical technique. The targeted application is the evaluation of Smile project, which takes place every year and implements a new engineering learning approach, the Engineering Service-Learning. The considered edition is the one of 2019, in which two teams of five engineering students each from Chouaib Doukkali University (Morocco) and Pusan National University (South Korean) participated. The Paired Samples t-Test allowed to check the initial state and to evaluate the evolution of participants’ skills and competencies.
