Artificial intelligence technology is an aspect of science that has found tremendous application in the handling of so many challenges. Artificial intelligence has been applied in different fields such as robotics, engineering, transportation, medical science, academics, advertisement, computer vision, and, more recently, in managing the different challenges attributed to COVID-19. Artificial intelligence is an invaluable tool in the fight against COVID-19 with applications in the diagnosis, management, monitoring and treatment patient as well as their wider application in drug discovery to epidemiology investigation. Therefore, this chapter intends to provide a detailed information on the application of artificial intelligence in the handling of COVID-19.
