Advanced Zeolitic Catalysis for Sustainable Hydrogen Production

Abstract

Zeolites have proven to be highly effective catalysts in various reactions, including acid, base, and redox catalysis. This chapter discusses the use of zeolitic materials as an affordable and efficient approach to producing green hydrogen. It focuses on three main goals: first, providing a general overview of zeolites and their diverse applications across multiple fields; second, examining the role of zeolitic materials as catalysts in hydrogen production processes; and finally, presenting case studies that highlight the mechanisms behind catalytic reactions during hydrogen generation with zeolites.
