Dr. Israa Siddig

I am a clinician and global health advisor working at the intersection of women’s health, health systems, and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on how innovation translates into real-world impact across African and global contexts. Trained as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the NHS, my work has expanded beyond clinical practice into health system strategy, digital health, and AI-enabled care models. I have led initiatives across the World Health Organization, where I developed digital learning programmes in sexual and reproductive health, and worked with AI-driven telemedicine platforms to support diagnostics and care delivery across Africa. My focus is on bridging the persistent gap between innovation and implementation, supporting the development of technologies, partnerships, and systems that are clinically grounded, scalable, and responsive to the realities of the environments they serve. I am particularly interested in women’s health as a lens for system transformation, from maternal care to chronic conditions and underserved areas such as pelvic health.
